Frequently asked questions

Is it really free? For how long?

Yes, the call out line and notification service is 100% free, and will be for however long it needs to be in order to help protect communities and workplaces from the Coronavirus pandemic. Should you choose to use other products Syrg offers (predicting call outs, automatically filling open shifts, and more), you can upgrade to a paid version at any time.

What’s the catch?

There is none, really. The product depends on user adoption, so you’ll need to make sure all of your employees actually use it. Other than that, it’s simply a free tool to make it easier for workers to call in sick, for employers to track who has called out when, where, and why, and for you to keep your workforce up-to-date with sick policies and information.

Who’s doing this? Why?

Syrg is a software company that helps businesses with hourly employees track and predict absences and automatically fill open shifts, quickly and on-budget. Our product has always included a health status hotline and, given the current health crisis worldwide, we feel that it is our responsibility to offer it to businesses for free. We believe that hourly workers are the front line of community response to the Coronavirus pandemic and we care deeply that they are informed, healthy, and safe.
